This weekend the CompSci Gifted & Talented group took part in a national robotics competition and got all the way to the quarter finals!
The students have spent the year giving up evenings and weekends to work on their robot and were up against far better resourced teams (mostly private schools) so they did exceptionally well to beat 40 other teams. Joe Turner (Y10), Ryan Webb (Y12), Cameron Aldridge (Y12) and Samuel Carty (Y12) stood out as being particularly innovative and hard-working and deserve huge congratulations.
Massive thanks to Mr Hore for loaning his workshop, expertise and time to give the students such a great experience.
