This term Nightingale students have excelled themselves and have been instrumental in raising money for our nominated local House charities; Bicester Food Bank and the Salvation Army, so fewer people in our community go hungry.
The students organised, prepared and sold cakes, ‘mocktails’, sweets and ice cream, as well as inviting students to participate in guess the number of sweets in a tub, penalty shoot outs and a baking competition. In addition, the school identified what items were needed and the students embraced the task of collecting relevant food items and preparing hampers for Bicester Food Bank to issue to those in need.
Mrs Patel, acting Head of Nightingale House, said, ‘I would like to say a huge thank you to all those Nightingale students, parents and carers who donated food and gave their time to bake cakes etc., as we couldn’t have done this without your support!’
The contributions were most gratefully received by representatives from Bicester Food Bank and the Salvation Army.
