The Cooper School today welcomed an excited and enthusiastic group of Year 6 pupils to give them a taste of the secondary school life ahead of them. The day is aimed to support them in their transition from primary to secondary school, in their learning and personal and social development. Tasters of lessons, break and lunchtimes and the chance to meet new friends, in classes and form groups all contribute to an enjoyable and informative day for both the students and The Cooper School.

“I am really enjoying my day. I have met loads of new people and a new friend from Langford Village. I have done Maths, Spanish and Music but I am really looking forward to P.E. Dinner at the canteen was great but the best bit of the day has been Maths. We had problems to solve and it was a different sort of maths to what we do at primary school. Also the teacher was great and had a deep voice! I am really looking forward to coming in September.” – Ted, Year 6.
