Tonight, Thursday 8th November 2018, we opened the doors to Post 16 Studies at The Cooper School for our annual Post 16 Open Evening. Prospective students, along with their families, first attended a formal address and welcome by Mr B Baxter, Executive Headteacher and Mr M Doorley, Director of Post 16 Studies. This also included a few words from our fantastic Student Leadership Team and videos illustrating what a vibrant and welcoming Post 16 education we are proud to offer at The Cooper School.
Following the welcome, visitors were invited into our purpose built, bright and airy, modern Post 16 Building to discover more about the wide range of course options available at The Cooper School Post 16. Staff and current Post 16 students from all subject areas all reported being very busy, speaking to interested students and their families about the options available. There was also the opportunity to ask questions and to learn about the application process, the facilities and extra curricular opportunities, as well as what is involved during a student’s time at Post 16.
Our current Year 12 and 13 students chatted with visitors about their experiences so far at Post 16, proudly illustrating that in terms of personal development, in terms of support, encouragement and inspiration, in terms of a first class Post 16 education, The Cooper School really is an outstanding place to continue your Post 16 education.
We very much hope that the evening gave all visitors a taste of our Post 16 offering and look forward to receiving applications in the near future – To visit our application page please CLICK HERE
