A busy term for Newton House…

Congratulations to Newton House for a fantastic and busy term of events and fundraising…

  • In March, Newton House raised a fantastic £139.19 for Muscular Dystrophy Uk.
  • Throughout this term, The Jamboree scouts (Ryden Martell and Poppy Howells year 8) have been raising money for their trip to America by running the popular refreshments and cake sales during various break times/lunchtimes and also at school Parents’ evenings. They are now almost a third of the way to raising all the funds needed to go!
  • Last week Lilly Dalton year 8 raised a whopping £128,75 for ‘Young Lives vs Cancer Clic Sargeant’ , which was a fantastic effort! Lilly even managed to rope in some of the other houses to help with the cake sale which was great to see.
  • Next, we saw Lana Docherty, Sophie Lyn and friends raising money for ‘The Brain Tumour charity’.  This included a variety of fete stalls and even few teacher having sponges thrown in their face.  It was for a great cause and well supported by both staff and students.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our students in one way or another already.
