Our vision, values and ethos – guiding everything we do

We believe in building and shaping a school that allows every student to flourish now and in the future.  To do this, we need to remove all barriers, thereby ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.  

Our overarching vision is outlined in the Strategic Overview This strategy framework provides the guiding force for the decisions and areas of focus for all school leaders.

Delivering this vision is embedded through our ethos of “Dream Big”, “Work Hard” and “Be Kind”.  School leaders ensure that these values are enshrined in everything they do.

“Dream Big” is made real by ensuring that every student learns to be ambitious.  Through aspirational and inspirational teaching, all students attain outcomes which empower them and ensure that they achieve future pathways.

“Work Hard” is made real by helping learners develop self-discipline and courage, to take charge of their own decisions, now and in the future.  Standards and expectations are high and learning is developed through a broad range of engaging and rich educational opportunities.

“Be Kind” is made real by treating every member of our community is treated with kindness and respect, modelling these skills to our learners.  Quality relationships and restorative approaches are embedded within the everyday running of the school, and lie at the heart of all we do.
